Ron Nolte - Craftsman

I came to Utah in 1972 after earning a bachelor's degree in art from University of California Santa Barbara. In my time here I have taught stained glass classes and pottery classes, as well as worked as a finish carpenter, a subcontractor, and a construction superintendent. Woodworking and furniture design have been long-time interests for me. Over the years I have studied furniture construction, design and techniques. I take inspiration from Asian design, and meld it with my own ideas.

Through the years I have made furniture for my own home and for friends, but it is only in the past few years have I decided to pursue my designs full time.

I make all my furniture out of my workshop in Woods Cross, Utah. Many of the woods I use are harvested locally and all are acclimated to Utah's dry environment.
